Almost seven years ago I was standing in this exact spot photographing Brendan + Dominique on their wedding day. Things have changed quite a bit for them since then so with their anniversary coming up we planned a quick mini family session while they were in Louisville in the same spot they said, “I do!”. It was so special to see them again and attempt to recreate an image they love from their wedding day- but with four kiddos in the frame too. Enjoy! <3

I met Michael + Chelsea at a wedding several years ago and was so excited to see they finally got engaged and even more excited when Chelsea contacted me about taking some portraits together! These two are getting married on the beach in the Dominican Republic next month but with a winter wedding they wanted some snuggly couple portraits in Louisville together too. With flurries falling this fun pair danced and laughed their way through the chilly December afternoon. Their first date took them across the river to Indiana at Falls of the Ohio State Park where we met up at sunrise for their engagement session. Jeremy and Brooke met in college at Western Kentucky University and soon after graduation settled down in Brooke’s hometown of Bardstown with their two boxer fur babies. Meet Scott and Brittany! These two goof balls casually met during a rotation Brittany had for physical therapy and though they didn't hit off right away, the two kept in contact online for a year- mostly talking about sports :) These two wanted some fun, non-traditional engagement photos to show off their personalities so we mixed those goofy ones in with the pretty and romantic ones. It was such a joy to spend an evening with them at Locust Grove in Louisville.

For Peter and Dominique the roads of their love story have gone straight, weaved and split, split and weaved in yet they somehow always find their way back to each other. There are few stories I know better than theirs, which almost makes it harder to put into words. It was an honor to spend a beautiful sunny evening on the rolling hills of Kentucky to document their relationship so I’ll let the images speak for themselves.
