When Izabela studied abroad at the University of Kentucky many years ago she fell in love with Kentucky and decided to come back for Graduate School! Although she had to leave her beloved Belgian Malinois pup home in Brazil, her fiancé, Marcio, came to Kentucky with her. They decided to get married with an intimate courthouse ceremony and celebration in Lexington!

On September 30th, 2018 they wed under overcast skies at the Morton Arboretum in Lisle, Illinois with portraits in the hedge garden and pinky promise vows. A couple of Scots living in London, England decided to cross Kentucky off their travel bucket list and elope while doing so! On one of the rainiest days I’ve ever seen these two grabbed umbrellas, joined hands and officially tied the knot in Frankfort, Kentucky. We roamed around downtown, dried off at Buffalo Trace Distillery where they had a perfect impromptu toast from another distillery guest and ended with some special portraits in the barrel house. The Schlitz Audubon Nature Center in Milwaukee, Wisconsin was the most gorgeous backdrop for their vows, portraits on lake Michigan and the (seriously-amazing-dance-filled) party that followed. Matt + Aubrey have a love founded on traveling, hiking and beer. When deciding between a Las Vegas poll party and a Mexico getaway to tie the knot… they chose BOTH. Overwhelmed with planning these two eloped in Las Vegas on their own and then invited all their favorite people to the beaches in Cozumel, Mexico to celebrate with them properly. They exchanged vows in an evening ceremony on the beach, dined with distant storms lighting up the skies and ended the evening with a sprint into the ocean as a thunderstorm rolled in.
