While his ability to talk her into a date didn’t work in 2008, he took another chance almost ten years later with great success! They were engaged within a year and tied the knot on June 1, 2019 in Lexington, Ky. A seemingly quiet southern girl from Kentucky finally connected with a sarcastic New Yorker at a CBS Sports Holiday party. Following their first date, Eric and Blair were essentially inseparable. They currently call New York City home but decided that Lexington, Kentucky would be the perfect setting for their “I do’s”! They wed on a rainy Saturday in May, surrounded by their dearest family and friends on the Keeneland Clubhouse lawn. Their entire day was filled with laughter and dancing. For a couple who spent most of their lives living within 15 minutes of each other they finally started hanging out due to geographical convenience when they both moved to Cincinnati in 2016. Since then they’ve built a life together in Over the Rhine with their cats Godric and Helga. They got engaged last summer in the industrial loft home they share, much like Monica and Chandler did on “Friends”. Decidedly non-traditional, they chose to celebrate their love with a Friday elopement in Alms Park, portraits in Over the Rhine, the neighborhood where they fell in love, drinking at their favorite dives and a next day dance party at the Oscar Event Center with their favorite loved ones. Alex + Cassie met while serving at P.F. Changs and found that would try to spend as much time around each other as they could. It took Cassie moving away from Lexington for Alex to make his move and ask Cassie out, which took her back to Lexington and the rest, as they say, is history! Over the years they’ve been together they’ve adopted a dog and appeared in several music videos as extras; and as themselves in Andy Grammar’s hit “Honey I’m Good”. I think you can see the reference to their wedding title there. :) They wed at the Round Barn Stable of Memories in Lexington, Kentucky in late November surrounded by laughter and love.
